Before I became the Cara you know today, I struggled with an eating disorder that robbed me of my inner peace, confidence, and freedom.
I was always in my head worrying about food. If I wasn’t knee-deep in a binge, I was planning out my next diet to “make up” for it.
I had spent years hating my body and wishing I was thinner. I was convinced that losing weight and being thinner would change my life.
Honestly, losing weight felt like the solution for everything that was wrong.
Eventually, I realized that the more I tried to control my food the more out of control I became.
Exhaustion from food obsession and hating my body had power over me for too long. And I knew I couldn’t continue living this way, so I said "enough is enough" and decided I was going to do whatever it took to recover and heal.
At first, I reached out to an Eating Disorder Therapist, but something inside of me said “this isn’t the route for you”. After deciding to trust my gut, I found personal development work and life coaching.
And this is when every area of my life radically transformed.

So much of our suffering is caused by trying to live up to our culture’s unrealistic ideals of perfectionism, thinness, beauty, and productivity.
Originally, I was terrified to release control by letting go of obsession around my body and food. But loosening my grip on dieting and weight control didn’t result in my life falling apart...it resulted in it falling together.
I realized that who I am is more than enough and unconditionally worthy...no matter my size!
Since then, I’ve guided hundreds of women to true self-love, self-worth, and inner peace.
